Barack Obama HATES guns. 
If he's elected president, he and his Democrat cronies will destroy the Second Amendment. America is the greatest nation on earth. People from every corner of the world want to study at American schools, work for American companies, settle in American neighborhoods and live their lives protected by American freedoms. We are the world's shining light of liberty for one reason: Our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment gives common men and women uncommon power to defend all freedoms guaranteed by our Bill of Rights. But now we face a titanic battle with Barack Obama, who if elected would use the presidency to begin a systematic destruction of the Second Amendment. Barack Obama talks to America about "change," but he doesn't tell you what his vision of change is. The National Rifle Association of America has researched him and his history and now knows exactly what he means by his "common sense and reasonable" changes to the Second Amendment.

Ban the use of firearms for home defense.Never in American history have we faced a presidential candidate — and hundreds of candidates running for office — with such a deep-rooted hatred of firearm freedoms. That's why it's absolutely vital that you expose Obama's devious plan to other gun owners. Too many American gun owners just don't know that Barack Obama intends to destroy the Second Amendment and restrict your rights to own, use and carry a firearm by using the strategies above — without ever claiming Americans don't have the right to keep and bear arms.
From day one of the campaign, Barack Obama has claimed he's for the Second Amendment, but that claim rings hollow. Look deeper and you'll see that beneath his slippery oratory lies a history of votes against firearms ownership that makes it clear he intends to gut the Second Amendment.
Back in April, Obama described Americans like you and me as people who "get bitter...they cling to guns or religion..."
No presidential candidate — not Bill Clinton, not Al Gore, not John Kerry — has ever displayed this kind of arrogance or total contempt for values gun owners embrace — values like freedom and our Second Amendment.
Beyond Obama's rhetoric, just look at his voting record when it comes to our guns and our freedoms.
In his earliest days in the Illinois State Senate, Obama supported a bill that would require law-abiding citizens to visit their local police department and ask for permission to buy a gun. He also proposed closing every gun shop within five miles of a school or park. That's 90 percent of the gun shops in America!
Then, when running for Congress in 1996, Obama answered a candidate survey from the Independent Voters of Illinois in which he openly supported a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns, a ban on commonly owned long guns and mandatory waiting periods and background checks on gun purchases.
When gun owners exposed this gun-ban agenda, Obama's campaign denied he'd answered the survey, instead claiming that an aide had filled it out. But the real truth became obvious when subsequent news reports revealed that Obama's own handwriting appeared in the margins of the survey.
Now, when you look at his voting record in the U. S. Senate, you can see exactly what his campaign slogan, "Change You Can Believe In," truly means to gun owners.
As a U. S. senator, Barack Obama has voted in support of predatory lawsuits designed to bankrupt the firearms industry, and he's voted to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. As a state senator in Illinois, he voted to uphold local gun bans and the criminal prosecution of people who use firearms in self-defense. He supports gun-owner licensing, gun registration, gun rationing, useless waiting periods and more.
And Obama isn't the only one in his circle who wants to destroy the Second Amendment; it's a driving principle of his inner circle of advisors, mentors and long-time friends.
The NRA's research on his presidential campaign shows that Obama's staff has donated thousands of dollars to a veritable Who's Who of gun-ban politicians, including Senators Kerry, Clinton, Kennedy, Schumer and Boxer; presidential candidates Kerry and Gore; gun-hating Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Congressman John Conyers.
The list of those whom Obama counts as friends outside his campaign is just as revealing.
There's Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his church, to which Obama contributed $26,000 over the years, even as Wright spouted anti-American hatred.
There's the Rev. Michael Pfleger, whom Obama has helped over the years by securing a $225,000 grant from the State of Illinois and a $100,000 grant from the federal government.
Issuing a death threat while picketing a Chicago gun store with Jesse Jackson, Pfleger screamed, "We're going to find you and snuff you out." Pfleger — a mainstay of the most radical Illinois gun-ban crowd — told the Chicago Daily Defender in 2001, "We must declare war on guns and anybody who buys or possesses a gun has to be an enemy of the community."
Obama's record — his contempt for the Second Amendment, his votes, his words and his association with extremists who hold our values in contempt — is beyond shocking.
This is America's moment of truth — and yours and mine.
We are the only country on earth where everyday citizens have the right to own and use firearms without permission from the government. In other countries, it is a privilege that governments can — and have — easily taken away.
If we fail to spread the alarm about this clear and present threat — Barack Obama and hundreds of other candidates who share his views — our freedom will be attacked as it has never been attacked before.
